The best price I could find online for all 4 new is $1400 shipped.
Here are the part numbers for the 2016 GS-F tail lights with Black chrome accents.
81551-30E10
81561-30E10
81580-30620
81590-30620

The 2016 GS 350 has chrome accents in the tail lights, but I like the blacked out look.

Assuming I can get $400 for the stock tail lights on eBay, the cost for this mod is about $1000. I might hold off on this mod for a couple months hoping I can find the parts for cheaper from a wrecked GS-F.

This is the thread your referring too.

I checked eBay and there are plenty of the 2016+ non GSF tail lights and the price is not much different than a new set.

You are looking at the pinouts for the stock outer and inter tail lights on your 2013 lexus gs. The bottom left side is the only thing that matters on that diagram.

For the GS-F outer tail light you have to install a load resistor between turn signal pin and ground pin.
http://www.autozone.com/electrical-a...170712174558:s

For the GS-F inner tail light you have to rewire it. the pinout is apparently stamped on the new tail light, just move the wires to correspond to the pinoput on the original.
Also for the brake light you need to tap the outer tail light and run it to the inner tail light.

I ordered the GS-F tail lights, hoping to complete this mod within the next two weeks.

For those looking to do this mod, looks like you can get 3 out of 4 of the rear GS-F tail lights for $600 on eBay.

Complete left side inner and out tail light for $400:
www.ebay.com/itm/332306163566

Right side inner tail light for $200
www.ebay.com/itm/253072783275

Great deal for someone, otherwise it's about $1400 brand new from Lexus for all 4. Based on the part numbers I posted before you would only need the right side outer tail light(81551-30E10) to get the complete set.

I used to like the 2013-2015 headlights more than the 16+ ones, but after seeing a few 16+ models with the LED lights at night I did a 180. I love how bright they shine at night, except for the fact that it's so damn similar to the stupid Hyundai Sonata hybrid taillights lol.

I edited the schematics to make things somewhat easier to understand.
Removing the lights shouldn't be much of a problem.
Which wire on the outer tail light is for the brake light?
Is it number one the unlabeled on in your diagram?

I'm trying to figure out which wire to tap to get the brake light for the inner lights.

I love how our cars look but definitely love how the rear tail lights look on the 2016 model, I compared both tail lights side by side and seems like they are identical.
Would anyone have an idea if we could easily change our tail lights to the new ones without too much work?

Anyone with a 2016 is willing to open up their trunk area and look at the wiring to see if it's similar?

I moved from a '14 to a '16 and liked the old ones better at first, then the new ones grew on me. Now I look at the old ones and they look outdated. They don't look bad, just... older. They've certainly aged.

Default Wiring inside and outside lights ...

It’s been a while since I did this and I don’t have the wiring schematics but I can share a couple of notes:

1. For the outside lights, others previously shared that resistors need to be spliced between ground and the blinker lights. Pretty straightforward.
2. For the inside lights, since the connectors didn’t match, I simply pulled the wired pins out of the plastic connector and plugged them individually to the correct pins on the replacement light as follows:

RFL - Yellow
BACK - Blue
STOP - Red
TAIL - Green
GND - Black

If you wire it wrong, you might blow a fuse (fuse box is in the trunk on the left hand side behind a black plastic door).

Good luck!
