I personally would get it vinyl wrapped so you could always peel it off in the future. It shouldn't cost too much and you can pick any colour / finish you like.

I'd assume that's what it would cost. I've been looking around on kijiji to get some work done, and that looks about what people are charging. A smaller shop/independent would likely do it for less, but 5-600 for a reputable shop sounds about right.

i'm in socal your ymmv but, i called around looking to get all the chrome around the car vinyl'd and was quoted ~$250-$300. it was about $100 per side for the chrome around the doors and $70 for the front and back. i'd imagine the roof would be about $200.

I have my ultra white center blacked out, which I really like, and wondered if I should have had the chrome around the grille blacked out as well. I saw a car identical mods to the one you posted. I was waiting for a table at a restaurant so I kept looking at the car. IMO it's a bit too much esp with the blacked out roof. It's reversible so you can try to see if you'll like.

Is your car is leased? If so be careful cause sometimes the wrapping process isn't done properly (to save the shop $) and will wreck your paint when you peel off the vinyl. In NY if you want to wrap an entire car with high grade wrap and in a way which the paint won't ruin when pulled off costs $4-6K. You can get an entire car wrapped for much less if you use an inferior product and method of adhesion. I would estimate $1200-$1500 to do your roof and grill with high quality workmanship.

looks absolutely fantastic in real life

the contrast of the black roof with the pearl white is beautiful. The grill also flows so much better and looks sportier
