So my driver side left wiper blade taps against a molding strip I believe and it bugs me a lot to the point I don't want to even use it. is this a common issue or am I the only one whose gs does this any help or advice is appreciated thanks a lot.

Do you mean it's going to far when swiping up and hits the rubber strip on the left side of the windshield, or is it going too far down and hitting the trim along the bottom of the windshield? Either way, it's not normal and you should bring it up to the dealer. It probably was calibrated wrong or somehow got off-track.

Can't they remove the arm and reinstall a little lower?

Would it matter if they are in "ice setting"?
Could that be the issue OP?

This is a member showing how to change modes. It shouldn't matter which position it is in though. It should not hit. Have the blades been replaced? If so, the wrong length may have been installed

Sounds like the blades are too long.
Swap them out immediately, by boss installed too long blades on his GM truck and it destroyed the gears in the wiper motor. Costly fix.

Dealer adjusted wipers now it's normal. Didn't have them do anything else for now.
