2013 GS Lane Keep/Adaptive Cruise
Hey Guys,
I am shopping for a Used GS and wanted something similar to Infiniti Q50 Inteligent Cruise Control. Does anyone have experience with the GS tech features that include Lane Keep Assist, Adaptive Radar Cruise Ect.
Used ones with these features are few and far between so I wanted to know if it is worth searching.
Thanks for any help,
Josh

I have adaptive cruise but not lane keep assist. The dealership I bought it from didn't know it was on the car and I just happened to notice the steering wheel button in the pictures. I like the cruise and would look for it again. Like all adaptive cruises, you still have to pay attention otherwise you'll end up going under the speed limit like the car in front of you. It is very handy in slower traffic but the active portion seems to shut off around 20 mph so don't count on it in stop/go traffic..

Ok that is what I thought. Some dealers list that it has the adaptive cruise but then there is no button in the pics.
If the car has it is is the button on the right side of the wheel with the Car symbol with lines Infront correct?

Correct, right side under the DISP button. You can also tell by the raised portion above the steering wheel with two red dots. See post 7 in this thread for a picture: https://www.clublexus.com/forums/gs-...-pictures.html

i find it works quite well for speed above 35kph. it can be set to keep a short enough distance between you and the other car so that other cars will not usually slip in between.
do our cars even come with an active lane keep? (i know they are available with some sort of option, but i wasn't sure if it was 'active' or passive"

I have the Lane Keep Assist. It works but not well. It only works above 45MPH with the adaptive cruise controll on. If you have LKA on and are driving below 45 all it will do is beep at you if you change lanes with out signaling. If you are on a road with highly visible lines (more then normal) then it works great. If the lines are at all hard to see or it's dark out then it will have a hard time. The car auctually tries to drive off the road when you pass the highway merge enterence lanes (long story but consistently hapens).
If the cameras were in the mirrors instead the top of the windshield it could work much better. Also, if they released a software update so the car follows the Lane it can see and not wander around in the lane it wouldn't try to drive off the road while it's searching for that lane on the right side that disappeared.
Definitely get the Radar Cruise Control, don't wait for the LKA as its a gimmick they (Lexus) have not figured out yet unlike Infinity.
