It's super rare to find two promos running at the same time but I guess discount didn't see that the day their promo was suppose to end Pirelli started theirs and they both overlapped for a day. Lucky for me I happen to go in that day to get new tires.
They do have some good prices and some locations do have nice machines. One needs to be sure which one has it and/or do a thorough walk around before s/he lets them work on the wheels. I was lazy so I decided to have the location near my work place replace my tires on the previous GS. They put three big scratches about 1-3 inch long on three out of four wheels.

I had the Dunlop Sport 5100 tires which had only about 60% tread left when i bought my CPO '13 GS. I replaced them with Dunlop's new tire for 2015 called the Dunlop Signature HP All Season Tires and am very happy with the tires.

The 5100s were a little on the harsh side especially with the roads here in NYC but were nice and grippy. My new Signature HPs are very quiet, smooth and comfortable but give up that grip that the Sport 5100s have.

I highly recommend looking at the Signature HPs all seasons even though you don't get rough weather but you're looking for a comfy ride without breaking the bank. The price is very fair on the tire as it has great specs when compared to similar tires from Pirelli/Michelin costing hundreds more for a set of 4.

Where in socal are you? It can easily get below 40 degrees, especially at night. Heck, last year it snowed in huge swaths here, including Huntington Beach!

That said, yes - rare to be below 40 in daylight. But almost every night during coldest time of winter here.

So I had the guy at discount tire tell me that getting 245/40/19 on all 4 wheels of the staggered setup shouldn't be a problem. What are your thoughts?

I wouldn't, you still have two different size rims and I wouldn't rotate the larger rims up front..,,

Yeah I ended up going with the 245/40/19 on the fronts and 275/35/19 on the rears.

I don't think you would be able to put the larger rims on the front. But I was curious would putting a narrower tire on the larger rear rim be okay?

The oem Bridgestones only lasted me about 19,000 miles. I went with the Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3 and they cost me about $1200 out the door.

Theyre essentially bricks below 35 deg. So all season tires were my choice for the daily commutes.

I went wider in size too. My RWD configuration: front - 245/40/19 rear- 275/35/19. much more planted, smoother, quieter, all around improvement. No change in speedometer reading.

Bought them from Discount Tire store, they beat everyone's prices.

Hi HOw much did you pay for these?? tires .. thanks for your help

I just got my GS from dealer and purchased the tire/wheels package which covers next 5 years unlimited miles, Anyone heard about this and put use on it.
I used to have a Honda and got 4 new tires with connection with manager without tampering my existing tires on the car.

I bought the wheels/tires road hazard package with my GS back in November. I am fully aware that it cost more than road hazard on a new set of tires from a tire shop. The two main reasons I purchased it are:

1. I felt like it was a good investment on an $56,000 car since it also covered the wheels.

2. The roads in Atlanta are LOADED with pot holes. In 2009, I bought an Acura TL. Within a week of buying it, I hit one of said pot holes that was enormous and destroyed a tire. It bent the wheel too, but was barely able to be rebalanced. The tires and wheels on the GS are more expensive than those on the TL.

With all that said, I have not yet had to try to use the policy.

Cut that warranty in half for staggered set up

Thread bump....

Got a 2013 GS350 F Sport RWD that needs new tires. The driver isn't a spirited driver at all and I was considering Grand Touring tires for the car, is it possible?

Checked TireRack and America's Tire and it only seems performance tires fit. I had Cinturato P7s AS on an old 3G TL I had and loved them. Was looking to get the same tire on the GS.
