reverse light bulb change to led
Is there a write up or how to diy on changing our reverse light bulb to led.I personally had 6000k Vled cree bulbs and they looked really good and were very bright compared to stock. And by doing this to my gs would look more classy would there be any issues though? Thanks for your input

It's not too difficult. First, take off pins holding the trunk lining. Next, take off trunk lining and locate light gray bulb mount. Twist until it clicks and pull it out. Replace bulb and test to see if it works. Reverse all steps and you're done.

I ordered some VLeds high powered reverse LED lights along with V3 Triton turn signals. If you can wait till I get them in (expecting them tomorrow), I can take some pics and post them for you to follow. it's just like dchar said. Pretty simple mod to do.

I did this on my GS, and it really is as simple as dchar described it. The clips that hold the trunk lining in just pull out (a big screwdriver might help to pry them out) and then once that's out of the way you can get at the bulb holders to change out the bulbs.
I didn't run into any errors or other problems with LED bulbs for the reverse lamps, so no need for any resistors like you would need for turn signals.
I did the trunk light as well, put in an LED bulb that was lots brighter than the stock one. That one's even easier than the reverse lights.

Just kinda skeptical about doing it because I don't want to break anything

It's pretty simple to do. Pop a pushpin out, twist the holder out of it's socket and your there. I am curious to see what others come up with bulbwise. I tried the bulbs mentioned in the mirror light thread and while I liked the look, they didn't appear to be any brighter than stock, which is what I am after.

I put some cheap 194 LEDs that I got for free on mine. I got them for free, can't get any cheaper than that!
U can't really see it on a bright day light cause they're white but at dusk, dawn, and night they're quite bright and looks nice!
I ended up breaking all the pins that holds the trunk liner and replaced them all with the push pin ones made for the Camry. Ours are hard to remove and will most likely strip after it's removed, the Camry ones are better and easier to remove.

As everyone has said, it is very simple to do. The only thing that could go wrong or break is the plastic pins that hold the trunk liner. Try to use two flathead screwdrivers and pull them out from both sides to prevent them from breaking. If they do break, they are pretty cheap to replace I suppose, you can probably get them from Amazon. I replaced my puddle lights, trunk light, all four doors, and reverse lights with phillips 194 6000K bulbs, $11 for two on Amazon. The lights match the OEM interior LED very well. Makes the car look more expensive than with the ugly yellow OEM. Good luck!

Someone on here suggested using the back of a hammer to remove those clips.

This was one of the first mods I completed. Its very straightforward like everyone else mentioned. I used a pry tool that I purchased a while back off Amazon to help remove the clips in the trunk:
The last step is just twisting the bulb housing, removing the bulb and replacing. You can use a 194 bulb or a 921. I used a 921 LED. Attached is a pic showing the stock (left) bulb and LED (right) bulb. The LED shows up much better at night as others have mentioned.
