Default F Sport tire question...... Yes another thread on this subject

My Car has BRIDGESTONE TURANZA EL400-02 I am at 6/32 tread so basically 50% through the life.

My only real complaint about the car is how much road noise I hear in the cabin from the tires.

If I switch to MICHELIN PRIMACY MXM4 will I hear( or not hear!) a noticeable difference?

Tire rack has the Primacy's on sale for $134 each

another option is PIRELLI CINTURATO P7 ALL SEASON PLUS, Tire Rack ratings are really high but a set of 4 cost $350 more than the Michelin's

Having had the mxm4 on 4 different cars, I can say this is one of the worst tires out there for noise....

Interesting most reviews on Tire Rack say the MXM4 are pretty quite.

And the new Michelin Premier A/S is said to be super quiet.

MXM4 are quite......till you hit 10K plus. They become loud as hell. I would get Continental DWS. They are sitting in my garage for my aftermarket wheels and perfect All Season tire

I would agree to the mileage on the mxm4....also, it is very possible that the oem version is quite different then the other version of the mxm4....

I tried the dws on my 2010 TL Sh awd, and they were very splashy and didn't feel like a sporty tire...I ended up with a Bridgestone potentate 970as...it was the perfect tire for that car

I agree DWS aren't sporty at all as they feel "bloated" but if you are in snow states, overall good tire. I wouldn't get it if you ever see snow

Is yours awd? Last time I checked mxm4 does not come in size for rwd. I think the majority here would agree michelins are more quiet and wear better than bridgestone. I personally test drove dunlops, bridgestones and michelins pss. Pss is the best and most quiet of all imo. I, however, came across at least two complaints here. They claimed pss got worse after about 5k. You will hear noise regardless imo. This is gs not ls.

All tires should get quieter as they wear due to the reduced tread depth. If they get noiser the tread is wearing unevenly.

I had the MXM4s on my GS, had them until about 38k miles. They were nice and quiet. Replaced them with a set of Toyo Versado Noir which were quieter. I wouldn't at all call the Primacy MXM4 loud, and certainly quieter than the Bridgestones.

There are two MXM4s, the Pilot MXM4 and the Primacy MXM4. The Pilots are a louder, harder tire. The Primacy is the one that comes OEM.
