Default Can't decide on Wheels! Anyone have RX350 Wheels on their GS??

Hey Guys, I cannot seem to decide on wheels for my 2013 Luxury Package Nebula Grey GS350 AWD.. I currently have ugly 18" luxury package wheels and I am not looking for anything flashy or huge. I want some 19" wheels and I have been considering some aftermarket ones AND stock lexus wheels.. I dont want to lose too much of the Lexus ride quality but I want to improve the look and get rid of these ugly luxury wheels. I also do not want to run into any risks of rubbing or needing to further modify in order to fit larger wheels.

Im curious about the 2015 RX350 wheels, I really like how they look and I am wondering if anyone has these on their GS350, any pics? They are 19x7.5, a little narrow, not sure how these will look? Will they fit well or would I need to purchase extra parts such as spacers or whatever?

Theres a lot of these wheels for sale on ebay, here is a link
http://www.ebay.com/itm/391211738823?_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT
Other wheels I have been considering are Niche M157 and Niche Targa. I cant do staggered wheels because its AWD car.

Help!

You can do staggered wheels on AWD. You just have to make sure front and rear tire sizes are the same height. A few people here have. And yes they will fit.

LexRuger, you seem to be a real expert on wheels.

Would you happen to know what is the dry weight in ounces or kilograms etc, of the 2012-2013 GS350 premium 9 split/paired spoke 18" x 8" alloy wheels, and how much positive offset they have?
I'm trying to find something aftermarket of similar size and the same weight or lighter, but more attractively styled.

In the past, I find there is a big difference in comfort between the 3GS shod with 17" versus 18" on the same make and model of tires.
And also the 4GS in 18" versus 19" on the same model of Dunlops, @ 235/45R18 versus 235/40R19.
And also the 3IS in 17" versus 18".

The extra comfort must be attributed to the profile, the sidewall height, and the mass of the alloy wheel.

I have weighted those Luxury rims and its heavy. About 57.4LBS.

Here is my thread about changing my lux wheels out.

Thanks for the great link AL13nv8d3r.

Now, just another question, would anyone know the dry weight of the 4GS F Sport's front 19" x 8" alloy rims???
Because if the 4GS' F Sport's 19" x 8" 5 split spoke alloys are heavier than the premium 9 spoke split 18", then that partly helps as one reason to explain why the 19" don't ride as well as the 18" with the same make and model tires.
.

Can't seem to find the weight but I would imagine the F-Sport 19s are around the same weight, possiblly lighter. even though the F-Sports are larger, but they are forged. The luxury wheels are cast.

Thanks for that.
I'll be looking for forged wheels.

Hey Guys, I am still looking for some answers to my initial questions..

1.) Will Lexus RX350 19" x 7.5" factory rims look decent on the GS350 and does anyone have any pics of this set up?

http://www.ebay.com/itm/391211738823?_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT
2.) I am not familiar with proper offsets but would I need to use spacers with these wheels?

3.) Some people say that staggered wheels will ruin an AWD system.. what are the facts? I am looking to run the same tire size on all 4 wheels, does that mean I would be okay if my rear wheels were slightly wider than my front wheels? The tires I would be using are Continental Extreme Contact DWS and I think I'd have to use a 225/40/19 size since the RX350 wheels are only 7.5" wide..

Be careful with the 7.5" width of the RX's rims, because the GS's rims are 8".
Downsizing on the width of the rims may void Lexus warranty, and insurance in a car accident?

Just FYI, the stock F Sport 19s are also cast, not forged. Only the optional F Sport wheels are forged.

These wheels are cast:

These wheels are forged:

Personally I think the stock F Sport 19s look great, get those. And those are what is on the 2015 luxury package. Not a fan of the RX wheels.

AL13 says that the 4GS's premium 9 split spoke 18" alloys are 58 lbs.

I've been told that Jap Enkei GTC01 18" x 8" alloys are only 21 lbs, and that they have another model of alloys that is only 17 lbs!
Apparently the GTC01's are cast too!

Does that super light weight sound right & believable?

58 lbs includes the weight of the tire.

Thanks for that info Greg.
I thought 58 lbs OEM versus 21 lbs aftermarket - sounded a bit too much to be true; how could aftermarket alloys be that much lighter!

Does anyone know the "dry" weight of a 4GS 18", and F Sport front 19" alloy wheels?
Just the wheel only, and no tires.

I heard that including boxing and packaging, the shipping weight of the 4GS premium 9 split spoke 18" alloys were 33 lbs each.
I wonder what the actual wheel itself weighs?

Just as a matter of interest, I heard that a Formula One wheel weighs only 11 lbs...
