Have you actually seen that? I had one bad sensor and NONE of them displayed a pressure reading.
that was my experience with one missing TPMS sensor (and having the other 3 sensor ID + the missing old sensor ID still in the ecu). all 4 wheels showed as "--".
also, our cars holds 5 IDs (1 for the spare). as long as 4 of the 5 are detected (doesn't matter which position), you should be able to get a full reading.
