GS 350 front bumper black to match sport grill
#16
Couldn't stand the look of my grill after a visit to a dealership yesterday and saw some 2016's. Straight to the Vinyl wrap shop.....matt black.
I actually like this look better than the 16's. Similar to the the grill on the LS, but the original grill was dated some how. I didn't realize it until I saw them side by side, how they get you to buy a new one, right?

Pretty cool...can you post a close up shot to show the vinyl tape on the sides. How much did you pay for it?
Would a matt or a glossy look better on a starfire pearl.

Here is an update from me. I was on the edge on whether I should do it. And matte vs. gloss was also something I wasn't sure. I decided to go with glossy plasti dip since I thought it would match the glossy paint better like LS has. IMO glossy is a bit too glossy but matte may be too different from the glossy paint. So that's something one should see in person before doing it IMO. After it was done, I wasn't quite pleased as I had anticipated. The thought that the car now is no longer original kind of bug me. I pay attention to small details too so when I get close to it, the edge kind of bother me. The thought about peeling it off came across my mind. Since it's reversible, I decided to leave it on a few days. It took a few days to sink in and the other day when I parked next to another original white one, all the uncertainty disappeared. Now I really like it.

ckick on the picture and it will enlarge.
I tried to crop and lighten....My edge alignment is very close to 1111GS....I looked at all the 3M 1080 color choices. There was no glossy dark gray which would match the wheels, metallic glossy black was another choice.....in the end matt black suited my taste the best. Cost was $150
