Yes, if you subscribe to the service, you are able to press the SOS, ask for a point of Interest such as a restaurant and it will be loaded as the destination in your navigation system.

The "SOS" button is an emergency button, not a concierge button. Within your navigation destination menu theres an option for "Destination Assist", thats what you press to get to the concierge.
The SOS connects through to an immediate safety operator. I'm sure they're kind and set up your destination for you but thats not its purpose.
Kind of like calling 911 and asking for the address of the closest police station.

Its free for the first year, then you pay. The prices are kind of excessive for something that is not used regularly in my opinion. Here is the link to the pricing. http://www.lexus.com/enform/availability-pricing

I agree, pricey for an infrequently used feature. I have it, paying on 3rd year now. I've used destination assist less than 6 times.
But I keep the service for the SOS feature, in case there is an emergency.
Also, I do load destinations via the lexus website.

I used it a few months after purchasing the car. I got stuck in the snow in my alley. Tow truck came about one hour later and pulled me out free of charge.
