**HELP** Removing Steering Wheel/Cruise Control**
Hey CL,
So i let my father take my car on a road trip and he returns it with a broken cruise control stick.. I didnt even know that was possible!! I ordered the part and now im researching how to replace it. I have tons of research on the old style steering wheel and how to remove it with this great 2011 ISF steering wheel video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7XYu...=youtu.be&hd=1
BUT when i finally opened up the side covers of the 13' GS steering wheel there is no more Torx screw to remove the airbags. I dont even know where to start. Any advice would be great!
attached are some pictures

Personally I would have a Lexus dealer repair. I suspect there is a specific 'process' to make sure the airbag doesn't explode.

Put the gear in Neutral, engage the parking brake so the steering wheel can move freely and disconnect the battery. Let the car sit for 5-10 minutes before disconnect any wire inside the steering wheel.
Generally all the wires with yellow spiral cover are relate to airbags.
The airbag must be holding by 2 screws and cover somehow either from the side or from the back, try to turn the steering wheel to see if any screw hidden from the back.

Mine just broke last week! I did not do anything out of the ordinary to break it.it just started having a soft feel to it rather than the usual clicking type feel. The next thing, it was hanging by the wires. Maybe this is an age-related problem with the car? Mine is a 2007 LS. The local dealer will be repairing it for me tomorrow -- at at cost of over $400! Not happy about this at all.

Lead Lap
Joe Z and Tommy (from music box) had to disassemble the steering wheel to add the fog light stalk to the F-Sport. From what they say, it's not difficult at all. There are photos posted in the F-Sport Fog Light thread started by Joe Z.
EDIT: I thought it was in that thread, but I didn't see it. Someone on here took their car to Tommy and posted pictures of him sitting in the driver's seat with the steering wheel off. They had other photos as well during the whole process.
