Thumbs down F-Sport seats super uncomfortable on trips

Took the 2013 F-sport from Houston to Dallas and back over Thanksgiving. My *** and back hurt (but especially my ***) after just an hour into the trip. Seat bottoms are so thin they offer no cushion. Then on Saturday (weekend following Thanksgiving day) I took my dad's new 2014 ES300h from Houston to NOLA. Oh my gosh, no fatigue or pain and it's a 6hr drive one way versus 4hrs to Dallas. Yeah it was a lot of driving, 20hrs and 2 cities in 4 days. I take my MazdaSpeed3 from Houston to NOLA all the time, factory Recaro seats and no fatigue or pain. Trip to Dallas was the first time I roadtripped the GS F-sport and probably the last. Just going to use it to go to and from work. I guess under 45mins of continuous seat time is all the comfort the seats can afford. Hope you guys are having better experiences in your F-Sports on roadtrips. I thinking we should have gotten just the premium(non f sport) or luxury for seat comfort on long drives.

You need the luxury package GS for long road trips.
The F sport is a little stiff and not a very good long road trip car.

I'd have to agree, sport versions of car models aren't made to be cushy, especially for long drives. I'd recommend the luxury/touring models. ES models are definitely more comfortable, F-Sports aren't for everybody.

We drove 8 hours in it, then 8 hours home. No complaints here....we had done it prior in mother in laws is250...now that sucked.

Drove the new F Sport from San Diego to Vegas last week. Found the seats to feel overly firm when first starting out but I found them to be extremely supportive and comfortable further into the trip.

Best seat in any car I have every owned-even better then the Recaro seats in my other car.

The IS seat yes that's not comfortable for longer drives, GS I can live with it, it's not too bad. But the ES is made for comfort to haul families for long drives.

If you want recliner/sofa-esque comfort, you may need to move up to an LS. Not the F-Sport of course.

^^^^Those look super comfy!

I was just surprised on how uncomfortable the F-Sports seats were for long road trips. My passenger even had pain. Backseats are fine though. My fiancee has a 2010 IS350 and those seats are fine on long road trips. Oh well, the GS is one hell of a car and such a great value regardless- just won't take it on long road trips.

This is the first complaint I think I've ever seen in this forum re: the comfort of the F Sport seats. Maybe you should try adjusting more of the settings? I find them some of the most comfortable seats I've ever had in a car, even on a road trip.

Maybe the OP has a scrawny butt without much meat on his bones.

We need to let J-Lo do a road trip and see her commentary.

You do realize that J-Lo has a $27 million insurance policy on her butt?
