Talking How safe is the 4GS?

Not the crash rating but the stolen rating.

Do these cars come with alarm from the factory?

Do u guys use extra locks when leaving the car for a long period of time? Like those steering wheel and brake pedal locks? I know those won't do jack if the thief uses a flatbed to steal the car. Can they even jimmy the door open?

The insurance for this car is cheaper than my 2014 Accord and I'm guessing that's cause it has a low stolen rate? I don't think I've ever seen a Lexus vehicle on the most stolen list... Accords and Camrys are always on the top. lol So that means the stolen parts for Lexus vehicles aren't easy to sell.

I wouldn't worry, like you said it isn't a Honda. I used to have an Integra (which was stripped once and then several years later they tried again), and I have zero worries about the GS. Besides, that's why you have insurance, right?

Usually thief's don't go for harder cars to steal ussually easier cars like older Honda's or Toyota's. Breaking into is another story.

My 14 year old Camry was almost as much to insure as my GS. The GS is harder to steal plus there isn't much demand for parts like the Camry, Accord, Civic, ...etc.

Yeah there's a built in alarm, demobilizer, engine keyed to the ECU, etc. etc. Lexus knows how to protect their cars. It's not like my long-gone 1994 Civic Si hatchback that was stolen with a flathead screwdriver.
