Default Interesting choice of cars

I have been planning on getting a CPO GS350 but have been targeting October/November range to hopefully get the best deal and to have my own financial house in order. However, my local dealer contacted me yesterday with 2 vehicles that have just come in. They offer interesting but different features.

Car 1: 2013 F-Sport, silver with black interior. It is AWD and has the cold weather package, BSM, and intuitive park assist. It does not have the dynamic handling or the ML stereo or HUD.
Car 2: 2013 Silver with Flaxen interior, It has the luxury package, ML stereo, BSM, HUD, intuitive park system.

Both cars have about the same mileage and will be priced similar. Both cars have BSM and rear parking assist.

I like the F-Sport looks and handling. I don't need the AWD in North Carolina but I do like the cold weather package because of the heated steering wheel and the double pane front glass which helps with noise. I wish it had the dynamic handling system.

On the other hand I really like the HUD and the ML stereo has been on my must have list. Aesthetically I like the front of the F-Sport better but could have the front bumper and grilles replaced later to get that look. I prefer the black interior with Silver much better than the flaxen.

I haven't tried to negotiate either car and due to options they may be more willing to negotiate with one vs. the other. Or, I could wait longer to see if I can find an F-Sport with all the features I want (ML, BSM, HUD, dynamic handling, parking Assist). Anyway,it is an interesting choice.

Personally I would wait.

I'm not a fan of the flaxen interior, and ML is a must-have in my book as well. The leases should be up on a bunch of the 2013s soon, so I'm sure something will come up for you.

Agree on all points. Early '13 builds should start showing regularly off lease. So if you can wait, you may find exactly what you want.

I agree as well. It doesn't sound like you've found the one so if you could wait a bit longer I think you'd be more satisfied.

Thanks for the input. I think that is great advice. I also think that prices will get better over the next couple of months.

Yeah prices will improve a little bit, but remember, these aren't BMW's where the price drops 1k or more per month of sitting on a lot. They are also in fairly high demand. I'm not saying buy the first one you see, but waiting too long could cost you the car you want and more waiting.

The price for the '13 models will drop when the '15 models are introduced in a couple of months. That, combined with '13 models coming off lease should put you in a better position to find the car you want at a good price.
