You lucky devil, they put me in a CT200 loaner last time. And yes, the GS 350 chassis is so well sorted it begs for more horsepower. The GS-F better not be a baseless rumor!

I doubt if it will be baseless. But it will not be very affordable for many. According to what I'm seeing as the price of the RC-F, I would guess a GS-F will be well into the $70s. I would be happier if they would increase the power of the base car. It has been at the same level for quite a few years now. Lexus elected to build a true sport sedan and simultaneously drop the affordable V8 option at the same time. They should have offered that engine with the full 380 hp that the LS gets and give us the option of an affordable upgrade.

Agreed. For me, I don't necessarily want something that's aiming to compete with an M5, but would like a GS that can go toe to toe with a 550i. That said, you're probably still looking at the 70k range for a decently optioned out GS. It'll be interesting to see what Lexus will do. The 5 series has a car for several price segments, 528, 535, 550, M5 and I don't think the GS has the customer base for that kind of diversity, but it would certainly be nice.
