Here is a better image of the GPS button...the cursor jumps right over it.

I suspect the only reason why your car shows Latitude & Longitude coordinates is for use with the Emergency Assistance Button (SOS) in case of an emergency.

As for assistance with all your questions pertaining to your car's technology, my suggestion (again) is to call a Lexus dealership's 'Technology Specialist' and give the specialist your VIN number - he will be able to answer all your questions, or find out for you. This is part of his job...

OK...Im going to reluctantly call Lexus and ask to speak to Technology Expert...Im going to tell everyone, Ive never once talked to an "expert" that was able to help me with anything that I was stumped by...maybe this will be a first, but I will give it a try.

My hunch is Lexus will say "Bring it in and pay us $$4 to "diagnose" the issue" - which I wont do, this isnt as much an issue as it is about getting good info.

Also - We did take the car in several times to 2 lexus dealerships, neither knew how to turn off the "device connected" messages that block the top part of backup camera...so to me this showed a general lack of knowledge or interest by 2 dealerships already...but, I will give it a shot.

Does anyone know where/how to acquire software updates for our vehicles? Is it only a dealer thing?

To me, paying for a software update for a car (especially to fix bugs) is ridiculous, so hoping not the case...Map updates, ok, I can see paying, someone did work to acquire new map info.
