Thanks for your constructive commentary.
Didn't you test drive and check the size of the GS tires before you bought it if 19's were such a problem on the BMW?

thanks for the pictures of the 17s on the car. I think it looks exactly the same as 19s. I don't see much difference. I think the color of the car is more apt to change the look. A lot of us don't really look at the wheels.

I am less concerned about looks of the wheels than the performance as far as handling in US roads. I drive mostly suburban, but some urban. I don't really do any tracks, but i have done that with my BMW and it was fun, but a lot of the bimmer guys are a little creepy at track days, and ask weird stuff, so I only did it once.

On the other hand, the car is really nice. I have a white GS, so the people are generally looking at the car or me, not the wheels I think.

Well,then your issue is settled..
Buy the 17's and enjoy the car.

Pretty sure one of the forms they make you sign when buying is waiving the 3 day cool-off period. Once you sign, it's yours.

Stick with 18's... Some members have switched 19 for 18 for their winter set up with no problems.

I think I'm gonna go with 18s. What do you think of sport edition A8 wheels vs Borbet LV5 and conti extreme DWS tires? Also thinking OZ also.

Make sure they fit... bolt pattern, width and offset..

Stock 18" GS wheels are 5x114.3, 18x8, what's the offset? Is it 45?

F Sport wheel BP is 5X114... A8 wheel is 5X120... conti DWS are great tires, i just ditched mine after 30K miles, actually only the 2 front, there was still plenty of thread left in the rear. go with the wheel you like,is all i can say.

Personally,
I'd rather have those 17 inch wheels........instead of these 18 inch ugly POS wheels

The 'tuning fork' wheels are the worst looking wheels I've ever seen on a Lexus vehicle.........

I wanna shoot the designer that made these hideous looking rims

hey i have these rims

i personally like them way more then the average GS stock rims, those are like camry rims. Average *** design, at least these have a design. The picture you posted has them painted or whatever in dark grey, makes it look even better

I like this better..

They're FSport wheels painted in silver.

And why is this GS sits lower than ours?! It's at the auto show, I don't think these cars are modified. Looks so damn good.

It's marketing man...show us a sexy sedan - hand us a non-sexy 4X4 LOL. Although I am happy with Down Springs. I have had them as long as I have had the car, not to low, not to high - perfect!

If I wasn't so far, I'd trade my stock 18's plus cash for those F Sport 19's..
