How do you determine month of production? Thought it was with VIN # but quick search indicated info on tag at bottom of door jam. Manufacture date for me is 3/12 so may not be affected but will wait and see.

Just come from the dealer for the 5k service. I asked the service manager and they said they are waiting for the VIN list.

Toyota has web site where you can enter your VIN and check to see if the recall affects your vehicle:

Nice find.
My GS has the recall and I knew it would as it was built in June 2012.

Below are the open safety recalls or service campaigns that have not yet been completed for your vehicle.

CAMPAIGN NUMBER Safety Recall ELB (E2B) -
Preliminary Notice Certain 2013 Model Year GS350 Vehicles Brake Pedal Load Sensing Switch

At the present time, Lexus is currently preparing the remedy.

What is the Condition? The brake pedal assembly in the subject vehicles contains a brake pedal load sensing switch which allows the brake system to detect brake pedal force application by the driver. Due to a manufacturing error, there is a possibility that the switch could improperly cause the brake system to activate without driver input while driving and without activating the rear brake lights. This could result in unexpected moderate deceleration, increasing the risk of a vehicle crash.

When will the Remedy be Available: The remedy procedures will be provided to each dealership in the near future. At which time, Lexus will notify owners of covered vehicles by first class mail. Additional information will be posted on this site once the remedy is available.
