Nobody in the US does...

How well does it work Pasha?

I think about the hilarious auto high beams on my Dad's 1990 Lincoln lol

Not on the GS, but I do have it on my IS. Works pretty good. Sensor, somewhere on the car, recognizes oncoming headlights and automatically switches the lights to low beam. As soon as the car passes, the high beams come back on. I have yet to be flashed by oncoming traffic. Pretty seamless operating system.

Bmw has a pretty neat high beam system. It isn't available in the USA either.

I have it on my 450h f sport, it works very well, much better than I expected, from cars approaching, to rear lights as you come upto a car from behind.

BMW Intelligent Headlight Technology: Long Version. - YouTube
My mothers X5 has this just without the LED never really works but its suppose to split in half when an oncoming car is coming it doesn't shut it off to low instead it moves to the side, or something like that, we never use it.

It might have automatic high beams, but the intelligent headlight technology isn't available in the US. The NHTSA is dragging their feet on allowing those types of systems. Does she live outside of the US?

Here is an interesting article on the topic.. http://www.extremetech.com/extreme/1...-new-headlamps

SW13GS, it works OK. except I'd like it turn high bean on a bit faster & it can't see rear lights of some old trucks (really notbright one). but it turns of the high beam right in the needed moment.

That's surprising.............that the IS (North America spec) has it.......but not for the 4GS.

That's odd.

Anyways, perhaps, the feature *might* appear for the 4GS in North America...........when this car gets an MMC facelift.

He meant LS! I think. Because LS has it as standard when you get full LED headlights
