Question Just Got my 14 GS350F, Few questions..

Hello,

I just took delivery of my new 14 gs350f and have a few questions but so far on the drive home I like it, more than I thought I would actually.

Unfortunately, the car has the wheel lug nut lock package which I didnt want for hassle of dealing with it. Also unfortunately, I realize I didnt' receive a lug nut key and in the owners manual there is a card saying I need to ask lexus and order one? WTF!I??! Is there anyway to get one easier or take these off without it? I want to do wheel spacers and obviously need these.

The car is a 24mo lease and I want to avoid the dealer AT ALL COSTS (I have my reasons dont ask). Can I do the oil changes myself without voiding something in the lease? That is the ONLY thing they do to the car for the first 30k miles (oil changes and cabin air filter). I don't want to get shafted when I turn it in with 30k miles in 24mo and they say I never serviced the car since day one and charge me $5 billion.

Also, someone was kind enough to provide me with this link http://www.etrailer.com/Trailer-Hitc...leid=201319508

It says you have to cut a little of the diffuser out to get it to fit, is there any way around the cutting? Can the diffuser be bought for cheap? I really want this on my car but dont want to end up paying thousands in damage fees since its a lease.

Thanks guys, im sure ill have a few more questions over the next day or two.

Getting windows tinted tomorrow

Congratulations on getting the new car. I got a GS350AWD FSport last December and this is the first time I am glad when it snows. Great car.

Besides the diffuser issue, are you allowed to tint the windows without getting dinged at the end of the lease?

the lug nut key is put in the trunk with the spare tire and tools. Have you checked there?

Dont you get 2 years maintenance anyways? Why not do it at the dealer since its complementary.

I am also in Delray Beach with a 2014 GS F-Sport. You should be able to do your own oil changes on this car, or any other for that matter. As far as I know, they can't force you to use a dealer for a simple oil change.

Why not try a different dealer down here? You have Palm Beach Lexus, JM, Pembroke Pines, Lauderdale, and plenty more. You probably have your reasons though.

Regarding tinting, I always tint my leased cars. I have never been questioned when I turn them in with the tints. They can always strip them off if worse comes to worst.

If you are going to do your own oil changes, make sure you fill out the info in the Maintenance book and keep ALL of your receipts (oil, filters, etc.).

Good idea! Ill take a pic of the stuff.

I found the lug nut key. It was hidden in the trunk. Put another 50miles on it today, absolutely love this car. Very comfortable and effortless to drive.

Now on to the trailer hitch and the wheel spacers
