New Guy.. Looking to make a Fsport purchase
Hey Guys,
Just joined the forum but have been lurking for quite some time.
Was a very active member on e46 fanatics and bimmerpost for along time.
Currently active on 6speedonline,Autogeek and Wrangler forum.
Previous original owner of a Lex IS300 Silver on black. Only Lexus I have ever owned and absolutely loved it..
Now I'm back in the market for a new Luxury SPORT sedan and have been searching hard
and the GS keeps coming back at the top of my list. My only reserve is that I live near Destin, Fl and there is no Lexus dealer nearby.. I have Mercedes, BMW and Porsche close by.. I have loved my past bimmers but the new one's have gone soft (nothing like my e46 M3) and as much as I would like to purchase the new M3 sedan coming. It is not practical and if i wanted to purchase a smaller vehicle I would honestly buy the IS350 fsport and save coin on cost and insurance.
Here are the two choices I am looking at
Obsidian on Cab or Deep Sea Mica on Cab FSPORT
I may even consider a '13 in Starfire Pearl on cab if I could find the right deal and low mileage.. I love the Starfire color Hud is a must as well as the ML sound system.
Only mods I plan on doing will be Tanabe springs and joe z exhaust
I am looking forward to becoming an active member on the forum and all the helpful advice and opinions you have to offer.
Just wanted to take a minute to introduce myself

DSM seems to be the color of Choice!
I will be doing Opt-Coat after a nice Polish as soon as I get the vehicle.
Still not 100% on color Choice yet but Really leaning towards this.
Does anyone have DSM pics they can share?

I'm a traditionalist….
My GS F Sport is Black on Black,, with a moderate tint on the windows. I like the hue of the Cab, but not of the Pumpkin Guts interior, these are colors that will date themselves. Either way its the driver that has to see it every day, and there is a reason Baskin Robbins makes 31 flavors.
As a former Toyota/Volvo Dealer I know 4-5 years down the road we would put a little less into a car with a unique interior color just knowing it won't appeal to everyone, whereas Black or Grey interiors no one finds offensive.

Welcome! I started a thread looking for new '14 owners to post pics of DSM F Sport. Seems nobody (on the forum) has one yet. Are you considering LDH/DRS? It's the one option I HAVE to have, and there are none available in NorCal, so double fail!

Deep Sea Mica is a great color and it wasn't available on the '13 GS F Sport, so you will have something really special. I have had my Liquid Platinum/Cab for 19 months and I've never tired of the interior color. It breaks up the monotony of having a black interior and just looks really sharp with the contrasting black and aluminum accents.
I would get it all over again, but probably with DSM this time.

This dude in OC, CA is looking for someone to take over his current lease. His ride is a sweet looking deep sea mica.
