Cool Calling all canadian owners

My GS450h is my 2nd Lexus. I am really pleased with the car but have some nagging questions. I would like to hear from other Canadian owners about their thoughts on why Lexus is playing games with the Canadian cars and owners. Why do the cars sent to the US have so many more options etc than the ones in Canada. I can't get an answer from Lexus. Any thoughts on the matter?

I asked the same question. I was told that Lexus Canada negotiates the packages with Lexus Japan each year and since the Canadian market is much smaller than the American market, the negotiation power of Lexus Canada is smaller too.
I am calling this a "nice excuse". I have a strong believe that the real reason behind the prices / packages differences between Canada and USA, is the high desire of Lexus Canada to minimize their profit regardless of our frustrations.
Therefore, try to forget about this and enjoy whatever Lexus Canada is offering , or next time when you will shop for a car, take this into consideration....

I got essentially the same answer from Lexus as this. The California market is bigger than the entire Canadian market. At the same time the California market must get the "strippers" because the Canadian car come relatively well equipped and up. While you can't get Lamisafe all around, you always got a power trunk.
