Don't negotiate based on the payments....

I did a 60k car for 48 months 0 down etc, and 650/mo. Car was taken down to 54 and that was in April. So they are definitely trying to make money off you.

LIMS - also try reaching out to the dealers internet sales departments before even coming in. It seems that many get better deals with that approach rather than walking in and dealing with the "traditional" salesmen.

A bit of introduction... I had an IS350 several years ago and currently have a 2013 Mercedes CLS550 that I got through European Delivery. I have done several European Deliveries with BMW and Mercedes and looking to get the new BMW M3/M4 next summer through ED again depending what they drive like.
So I received an offer that I cannot refuse for my Mercedes from a private party which I am sure will be much harder to get next summer and looking for a car for the next 7-8 months. I haven't had a Lexus for a while and the new GS350 looks very interesting. I drove it and it is much more involving than a 2012 BMW 550 I had - just a bit low on power.
Here is the best I have been able to get for a 2014 GS350 Fsport:
MSRP: $62,368 (includes HUD, power trunk and Dynamic handling System beyond the $59k cars I see here)
33 month / 12k lease: $550 with $800 drive off (68% residual)
33 month / 10k lease: $530 with $800 drive off (67% residual)
These do not include sales tax and are from the Atlanta region. I don't have the specifics (MF, selling price etc.) yet but thinking of doing the 33/12k mile one.
BTW, has anybody tried to lease transfer their GS? I am hoping, having a good monthly payment, it will be a fast an easy process to find a buyer later

I got a 27month/10k/800 drive off and 537 tax included on a 59.9k msrp. Residuals are better on the 27 month and if you wanted to transfer a lease then a $530 note still sounds not so bad. On a lease transfer site that I browse every now and then people are looking to get rid of their 2013 with payments of more than $600. That's more than what a decent deal could be had on a 2014 that's brand spanking new.

Just purchased a 2014 F-Sport. MSRP $57563. Negotiated price was $51900. $675/month for 36 month/15k miles. For Texas, I thought this was a pretty good deal. Residual is 60% and money factor somewhere below .001. This was $0 down and no first payment. Sign and drive.

Thanks - residual for 27 months is only 3% higher leading to higher payments. 33 months seems to be the best term right now especially for my purposes. The main issue with the lease transfer is competing with cars with much lower MSRP and the average consumer doesn't care for the extras. On the other hand for me it is hard to pass them!
