I had a 2011 E 350. I loved my Benz. It's really a matter of personal preference. There are things I will miss about my Benz and there are things that I love about the GS. The Benz is a heavier car and more "connected" to the road. The build quality of the Benz interior is top notch.
The GS is much faster, looks amazing with the F Sport package, and has some amazing amenities. In terms of bang for your buck, Lexo wins hands down. Lexo could be a little more solid in some areas (trunk feel, sunroof cover, etc.). Lexo in Sport + mode is fun to drive. I love the exhaust sound of the Lexo.
You really can't go wrong with any of the top cars in the class. There are just some amazing lease deals on the GS 350 and it's right up there with the top of the class.

I'm in the same shoes; I’m planning to replace my 2012 E350 Sports with a 2014 GS F sports within a month. I love the comfort of the W212, but since it's a lease I would like to try something else for the next few years. hope I am making the right choice

Hi guys,
I am in a market to lease 2014 F sport AWD and trying to see if this is a good deal to pull a trigger on:
MSRP: $60,157
Preferred customer discount: $2,000
Trade-in: $3500
Rebate: $2,250
Final price: $55,699 (including taxes and fees)
$2000 down, 10,000 mi/yr for 36 months:
Residual: 62%
MF: .00065
$530 per month
What do you think?

Pole Position
How much is it with no downpayment and/or trade-in?

Have them give you another 2000 in "preferred customer discount" and I'd call it a fair non-CA, non-FL deal. Otherwise, doesn't look too good and definitely above invoice. You might also want to put that downpayment and trade-in into a security deposit rather than straight up cap cost reduction (down).
Thanks for your input, it doesn't hurt to try I guess.

EDIT: Just checked edmunds out and rebate is 3500 (for lease or purchase), not 2250. This money is from Lexus and not from the dealer, but whatever the dealer doesn't give you they keep for themselves. They're definitely testing you. If you come in with the facts, makes it harder for them to $h1t you around.
EDIT 2: Don't forget to ask them for the first month's payment free which Lexus (corporate) also provides.
So the extra 2000 (to get closer to invoice (but still ABOVE invoice) plus 1250 in the rebate they're not giving you would bring you down to ~440/month. You're essentially putting 5500 down with the tradein and 2K down (ie, about 600/month lease without any tradein/down which is higher than what the CA / FL guys get, but don't expect to get the same deals as they do). You can instead put this 5500 as a security deposit and get a slightly higher payment but get the 5500 back at lease turn in. A lot of people have done calculations for MSD (minimum security deposit) vs investing that money, and even with an 8% rate of return, MSDs come ahead. Down-payments never make sense for lease.

I am trying to lease an F Sport in SC and they are offering me $480/month, 27 months, 12k/yr, with $2,599 down which is part of the current Lexus lease terms (advertised this way). What is the $2,599 for? Down payment? Cap cost reduction? Fees? I am new to leasing. Overall, is this a good deal?

Edmunds.com I think has a very close approximation to what the Invoice would be for your particular build. Check it out.
