User Interface
The user interface on the 2013 GS350 is the most pathetic software that has been implemented in this day and age on a vehicle. It is a step backward from what I had on my 2006 GS300. The womens voice and having to repeat the commands over and over has got me to a point of wanting to take a mallet to the hardware. If the system recognized the adjectives that come out of my mouth during this interaction, the car would most likely be shut down. The Lexus engineers that designed this interface should be fired. They better have a free update to the software and firmware to improve this piece of crap that we spent good money on. It is an excellent vehicle and this interface takes the rating from a 9 to a 3 out of 10. Lexus engineers - wake up and do something.

You seem to be talking mainly about the voice recognition interface...
Its not great, but then its not great on most cars. Its much better than it was on my 2010 ES, so I don't know that I agree that it would have been better on your 06 GS.
Play around with the settings, you can change preferences for voice prompts, etc.

LOL, I do the same. It's not that great. It doesn't do voice search like google would.
example "find nearby starbucks" - it's not designed to do that. you have to say "find nearest store" or some categories- haven't used it so I kinda forgot how it suppose to go. After a few tries, I start cursing at it and love the response from it. - "did you say ? " lmao
After being spoiled by google, it sucks to expect the same level of service. I know that the interaction was not designed that way but it sure makes me curse at it after a few tries. My fault though... I've gotten a few grey hair from their command interface

I think they've gone the right way by integrating Siri into the 2014s. Eventually everything will run using your smartphone as the source.
