Default Tires on GS350 F Sport

How many miles will the stock tires last? 15,000? 20,000? Are the Bridgestones better than the Dunlops? Will any of you replace the stock tires with a set of Michelin pilot sport all seasons?

I took off the Bridgestone Potenza tires as fast as I could. Choppy ride, poor average handling and noise levels, and poor wear. These tires are standard on a Corolla! Not a tire to have on the GS. BTW, I have an F-sport AWD.

I got the Michelin Primacy MXM4 245/40R19 94 V rated tires and the car ride amazing with good handling, noise, and comfort.

The new Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3 which is the 3rd generation tire will be here next month and you should put them on the car soon. Don't wait for the current tires to wear out. They are not good to begin with.

RWD F Sport has the staggered setup. Any reason to keep that setup vs 245/40/R19 all around?

Also, your tire can be purchased at a reasonable price $200 or so per tire vs the $260-280 for the pilot sport all season 3. In addition, your MXM4 may last longer.

Any suggestions on the staggered setup for all season tires? If I want a staggered setup I guess the new pilot sports a/s 3 will be my best choice.

I prefer all season tires for the superior lifespan/longevity of the tire. In my experience the all season version lasts a good 10,000 miles longer than the super summer versions. Yet, the handling is almost as good

Since you have a staggered set up, I highly recommend you go for the Pilot Sport A/S 3 set up next month. The reviews on the track have shown that this tire will out perform the Bridgestone, Pirelli, and Continental summer tires with the smoothness and longetivity of the all season. This was a huge step forward for Michelins. The older Pilot Sport A/S were noisy and didn't have good treadwear.

Michelin will not be producing the Pilot Sport A/S 3 tire in the 235/40 R 19 size per their website. You'll have to go larger or smaller if you want that tire.

Yeah, I've already decided that 245/40/19 will be the next size for me. I need the A/S tires and the options in the OEM size are ridiculously awful.

if u want performance, Michelin PSS are the best street tires ive used. feel sticky, but yet quiet, and the price is reasonable.

I need an good tire for Denver. Mostly dry, a little snow. Don't need pure performance as most of my driving is commuting. Would like a quiet tire. The Conti DWS get good reviews, as does the Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3.

I second this. Good on light snow and works great year round. Plus 30k mileage is what Michelin states. Had them on my last two cars, not dissapointed with them on the GS F Sport RWD.

All great options. Also considering getting separate summer and winter tires. Guy at Discount tire suggests 18" wheels for winter as there are many more tire options, and they are lower cost.

BTW, I have a great winter set with Michelin Alpin PA4 tires that are size 18 inch with Enkei rims from tire rack last year. the TPMS are inside and I am selling them on the classified as I am not in need of them this winter. I only used them for 3 months and put 2k miles on them. I have other cars I can use and my Michelin Primacy MXM4 all seasons are great on my 19 inch Fsport wheels. If you are interested, let me know.

Not mean to hijack this thread... I have a 36month lease 12k/year. Currently at 3K/3mos. I have the stock tires and don't have anywhere to store them if I swap them now. I'm looking mostly for quiet comfortable tires, as I don't really have chances to push the car much. All seasons (a week of snow a year at most, but I need to get to work even if it snows).

1. When should I change the tires with the expectation that they'd still be good enough on inspection at lease turn in at 36K?
2. What about one expected to last til 30K of my car's mileage (in case I turn it in early for a newer car)?

Would appreciate any input!
