Default Confirmations for voice commands

I did a search and even read the manual but couldn't find anything. Is there a way to get rid of the confirmation for voice commands? i.e, I can say Play Artist Blah blah blah, and then it will ask me Yes or No still. I just want it to play without asking me to confirm each voice command.

I recently removed the voice prompt when you press the voice control button. I don't believe it is possible to remove the confirmation prompts. There are two separate voice control options in the settings menu. I don't believe either one will disable the confirmation prompt to which you are referring.

OK, that's what I figure.

I checked the navigation manual (page 62). You can disable voice guidance and voice prompts. The guidance prompts in the middle to an ongoing dialog (e.g. "Say the city.", "Say the road."). The prompt starts the dialog (e.g. "Say a shortcut command...").

I tried to turn off what you're referring to since it's extremely annoying to have to say "yes" after each interaction.

Yes, I disabled the guidance and prompts but still have to confirm with a YES every time. Oh well. I can live with it.

You can bypass ALL the prompts if you want by pressing the speak button again and just speaking the answer BEFORE the question is finished. It's much faster than waiting for the question to be completed. This includes the confirmation prompt.

Terrycs you are my hero. I have been on a slow simmer with waiting to give the confirmations.

I don't think Lexus' implemetntaion is that great. My Infiniti was smart enough to lower the fan speed on the climate controls when it is waiting for voice input. It was also capable of adusting the volume manually by turning the volume **** WHILE the navigation is speaking. In the Lexus, one has to fumble through menu picks to change navigation volume which I thought was very cumbersome.

Come on Lexus .. this is just a software upgrade!!

That that would be a worthy patch.

I'm new to Lexus. How are they about providing patches and updates?

My guess would be firmware update via flashing EPROM and uploading new software.
