yes I know the GS is RWD, heavier and has better handling, acceleration, etc. Which are the reasons I'm interested in it. But currently I have a g37 convertible and that car stands out from the pack and I love the way it looks. Speaking strictly from an aesthetic perspective, when I look at pics of the GS I just can't help that if someone threw a couple of LED lighting strip on the front of the camry the two vehicles look very similar.

sorry if I insulted anyone, wasn't my intention. Thank you for the feedback.
the car looks good but the car is WAY too common... i see TONS of g35/g37 on the streets
same with the vettes... i dont see many of them on the weekdays but on the weekends theres vettes on every corner of the street

I guess to a non car person it could look like a Camry... I think it looks like an ES until you get within a car length of it.

Yeah I still don't see Camry, you sure you weren't speaking about a ES.

The hard top and the sedan yes, but there aren't that many convertibles out there.

Camry and GS350 is like comparing Jetta to A6.

Not even the same league.

I don't see any similarity between the Camry and GS, but several months ago when I left my car at The Parking Spot the bus driver that took me back to my car said "Silver errr Camry". That's the only time it has happened. Every other driver has said "Silver Lexus", but they usually hesitate while they figure out what it is.

I think it is a great looking car, but the rear end looks pretty generic and I can see how people get confused. I bought one anyway, mostly for the interior and the performance. I could care less if people confuse it with other cars. I got my money's worth.

I also have a G37 Convertible, and yes it is distinctive and still turns heads but it doesn't compare to the smoothness of the GS. Maybe because it has the Sport package, but there is lots of body flex and with that comes lots of squeaks and rattles. The good parts are that it is attractive, a convertible, and trouble-free. That's where it ends.

We'll all consider the source of the request, and if we want to continue discussing we will. And don't bother to respond to this because I won't read it. I've seen your back-and-forth with other members and won't get involved in that.

Dseag2 sorry if I offended you? I havent done this to anyone so far and never offended you. My point is valid and just did not want everyone to waste time to compare 2 different cars from 2 different categories. Its important to stick to the GS only.

Mine doesn't have the squeaks and rattles (yet anyway) but it feels like I'm driving a go cart and not a luxury vehicle. The Lexus ride quality is what attracted me to the RX and now the GS. Maybe I'll just grow to accept the similar appearances (at least to me). Well see what happens.

You have every right to your own subjective opinions on the similarity in appearance between the GS and Camry.

But the objective facts are objective facts and hence your statement that the GS and Camry are related platforms needs to be challenged.

Since they are 2 completely DIFFERENT platforms.

2 different platforms can look similar and 2 shared platforms can look completely different.

Still doesn't change the FACT that GS does not share platforms in any way, shape or form with the Camry. The Camry does share platforms with the Front Wheel Drive ES though.

I know someone who drives a Camry and thinking/pretending he drives a Lexus. He is living in his own little world...
