Not a fan of the Bimmers annoying auto tranny gear selector. The run flats on BMW's also is a big demerit.
We were going to get the GS, but my better half said she liked the look of the IS better. Go figure.

The GS looks like the Camry...no. I felt the Toyota was leveraging of their NASCAR involvement with the new Camry styling, it has a slab sided look. The Camry really has more in common with the Cadillac and Mercedes E class look, all are slab sided and angular.

The GS is much more fluid style. However there maybe some styling cues that to someone may connect it with its corporate parentage. And yes people do pull over from the fast lane when we come up behind them in the GS. That never happened in the Camrys we have owned.

The GS styling stands on its own.

Where do you all look at cars
at 35 my eyes must be old, b/c except for the subtle difference in sheet metal angles and trim, those two cars look very similar to me.

yes I know the GS is RWD, heavier and has better handling, acceleration, etc. Which are the reasons I'm interested in it. But currently I have a g37 convertible and that car stands out from the pack and I love the way it looks. Speaking strictly from an aesthetic perspective, when I look at pics of the GS I just can't help that if someone threw a couple of LED lighting strip on the front of the camry the two vehicles look very similar.

sorry if I insulted anyone, wasn't my intention. Thank you for the feedback.

I don't see any Toyota Camry in the GS. He must be referring to the ES.

i have owned alot of german brand mid-size sedans and the GS F-sport is by far the best looking one of the bunch and the most exciting car to drive. It does NOT look anything like any camry and DOES NOT share platform with camry. Please OP get the facts straight! BTW, none of my friends, family or colleages even mentioned or said it looked like a Camry. At least I have smart ppl around me. : )
