Default F sport aluminum trim

I know this has been mentioned and complained about several times by a couple of other members. But does anyone have a solution for these damn dents. My passenger side trim has like 4 dents. Its ridiculous how easily it dents. I feel like I have to baby my doors every time I open them making sure no ones watches or w. E. Smashes into it.

Wait what, how did you dent the aluminum, mind providing a pic. Isn't it covered under warranty, can't you get it replaced.

Bigblack they are more like dinges but yes they are very delicate... Every time I take off my seat belt I make sure it doesn't go flying hitting the trim.

I agree it is soft. I haven't dented it myself and purchased the car with these there already. I'm scared if we start tearing out all these trim pieces we're going to be plagued with even more rattles.

Haha yardie I am thinking the same thing about getting it replaced butI'm not about to get it replaced to get more rattles. They still can't seem to isolate where my rattles are.

I believe that another member stated that they cost around $150 a piece which is quite costly, but I mean it is real aluminum.

Dings in aluminum, scratches in wood, scuffs in leather. Life sucks. We should all buy Ford Foci and our problems would be over. Oh, wait...

Wow I didn't know they were delicate either, I would just get them replaced as there is no other way to fix them, I understand what your saying, I had my speaker changed in my 3GS and had a rattle after they changed it. So either chose to live with it or live with rattles. I could live with two dimples for a while

Yep, the aluminum trim on my cupholder lid and across the dash had dents. Lexus replaced it for free. I have multiple dents in the trim on the driver's side, but I've never had that replaced because they will probably just come back. For the cupholder, they had to replace the whole mechanism, but there are no longer any dents. Also, no rattles in anything they replaced.

The aluminum foot rest (far left) is thrashed/scuffed quite a bit also (I purchased the car used). Maybe I can bug my Lexus dealer for a warranty fix too?

Thoughts?

IIRC the aluminum footrest is a part of the carpet and cannot be removed separately. A number of premium and luxury owners replaced their pedals with the sport ones but couldn't replace the foot rest. It could be different for the f-sport though.

My cousin also owns a 2013 GS 350 fsport and he read club lexus forums about this issue. He bought the thickest clear bra that is meant to be installed on the front bumper. And he installed them on those aluminum trim pieces on his car. It has been on his car for over a year now and has zero dings. But he is not sure if its the clear bra working or because he is very carefull not to ding them. Maby you guys can try this?
