Default Vossen CV4 Polished but.... [UPDATE: Installed]

I was so excited to hear my CV4 arrived yesterday but still waiting on the 2 remaining rear tires that I expect to be here on Monday. I drop by the dealer to ask them if I could open it up to apply Wolf's Chemical Rim Shield. I notice that the offset was not what I ordered. Sent a email to Mike at Vossen already. When I ordered it from the local vendor I specifically specified +32 front and +45 rear. It was clearly stated on the order form. I also sent an email to Mike (Vossen) when I ordered it in February to make sure the offset is correct and to be on the look out.

Before ordering I was told by Mike that +38 is more conservative and +32 is more flush. What is everyones opinion on the two offsets. Should I get a 5 or 6 mm spacer to get +33 or +32? Don't like the thought of using spacers.

Also, have another question. The lug nut hole depth for the rear and front are different. Meaning if I use a long lug nut on the front the same nut will stick out at the rear. Should I order special lug nuts of different length?

Those are good looking wheels. I hope Vossen comes out with the same style but forged.

ChuH I apologize you did not get what you expected. We have a time zone difference it's 1:42am here and I've informed the team of the situation. I emailed you and my cell #. Apologies again and we will rectify this right away.

Hi Mike:

Understand our time differences. Don't take this post as anything negative. I am just checking for alternative if I am to keep the +38 offset and/or add spacer or wait to get the right offset wheels. Local vendor "Proline" I order from said they are sending an email communication to whom they order the wheels from. They told me to give them until Tuesday next week to see what had happened. I just don't want to wait another month or so to get the right wheel offset. I also don't like the idea of using spacers as proposed by the local vendor. They also told me about the lug nut issues that they don't have long and short nuts that are similar styles. I think I would need 1" and 1.5" (size looks right to you?). What do you think? I want the tip of the nuts to be flush with the center hub face. Going to check other places for lug nuts.

Yes, they are. So were the cv3's... Lug-nuts are about 1 1/4"... The shorter the better

Hey Albert:

Can I drop by your office or meet somewhere to check out your car to see what +38 offset looks like?

Default CV4 Installed!!! And it looks perfect.

I don't know how +32 would look but +38 looks flush to me. Rear looks like I could of used 285. Wish Vossen produce a 10" wide wheel instead of 10.5"

Happy with result. On one of the photo you will see my brothers ES300h with my 18" F-Sport wheels.

Hows the ride with those wheels and tires? More road feel and feedback vibration from the highways in car steering and seats?
