Cabernet Interior
#16
I have had cream, black and grey interiors so I was looking for a change. I originally was going to go with flaxen on SP, mostly because I envied the "baseball mitt" colour of my friends older TT and the flaxen while not the same colour was close.
I walked into the dealership and saw the red on cab F-sport on the showroom floor and I fell for it. It's strong, but it works well.
Also, to the "BMW" comment, I think the dash/HVAC controls make the car look more BMW than anything else. It's also a plus that (imo) Lexus leather smokes Mercedes and BMW leather any day.
I'm saying this now, but I hope to keep this car for 10 years (maybe 15), so resale isn't much of an issue. Even then, it's more "rust" than "red".

and yes, baseball mitt is the best way to explain the flaxen interior, it's very porsche/ferrari esque.

As soon as I saw the Cabernet interior online, I knew I wanted it. In fact, I chose the interior color before I chose the exterior color.
I have gotten comments on how nice the interior color is. Would definitely buy it again.

Yes, I still love my cabernet interior. Actually, it's "brick" red, like a red brick house--more rust...
You don't get tired of the red at all, because you don't look into it. The steering wheel and the dash are mostly black and aluminum, and most of the red is on the sides and also behind you (seats).
(Compare this to the red interior on a porsche 911. Now that's all RED RED RED!!!!)

I've had my F Sport for a year, and I stil occassionally sneak out to the garage to open the door and admire the Cabernet interior. I guess that says it all. Also, the Cab/ Black combo and the dark aluminum just look really sexy together. As one of the reviewers said, "like an expensive Italian briefcase". I would, hands down, choose it all over again.
