slowly but surely the new car smell is going away and now i need to replace it with something else.

i was wondering if anyone uses an air freshener and if they do, any suggestions or recommendations? my only caveat is that i would prefer for it NOT to be fruity. that smell reminds me of cheap strip clubs.

Hi Stick22, i've been using these Scentportables from Bath and Body Works in my other car and really like it. You just clip it on the visor. They have solid color ones if you don't want anything frilly. Scent wise, they make one called Eucalyptus Mint that smells really fresh, my hubby likes that one. There are a ton of options there:

I've always felt if the interior was clean there isn't a need for an air freshener. Just a personal preference of course.

Not everyone likes added fragrances (some might be allergic to them) such as florals, fruits, colognes etc. and it might be more considerate to passengers to go natural.

First off didn't know bathandbodyworks even sold car air fresheners... Good prices, but if you want pure driving smell pleasure... Get these...

i used to be all about that squash smell but am looking for something else to change it up a bit. i guess i'll just cruise by bath and body works and smell test.

i would not use any air freshener if possible but in the summer i get a bit ripe. also after some late night tacos... well yeah.

Years ago I used to toss a home air freshener like the Citrus Magic brand under my seat. If I were to go looking for an air freshener now, I would personally try to find something more subtle for the GS, however.

I used a leather scent air freshener from Griots Garage.I found chemicalguys.com has the same stuff with 4X the amount for the same cost.

Black Ice FTW. it comes in any form you like. tree form, under the seat, on your dash, vent clips, visor clips etc. it smells great. i might have a day or two of new car smell left. i don't think i'm going to use an air freshener, i think the natural smell is fine. i don't allow smoking or eating in my car. clean your leather with a good leather cleaner, i use Leather Masters. i don't think i'll be needing an air freshener... then again who knows.

On my older GS I had new car smell but it mostly killed the odor if any was in the car and made it smell pleasant can't really explain the smell. I'll take a pic later of it.
