On a side note, I don't get why Lexus offers the auto open/close trunk and the auto folding side mirrors in Bahrain (and elsewhere, probably) but not in the US.

GtiB, is your front bumped under the grill painted black or is that vinyl? If vinyl, is it throwing the sensors off at all?

Really beautiful car. Just about to pick up my 2013 NB GSF tomorrow. I'm ecstatic. The dealer lent me a 2013 ES for a few days. It's not a bad car, but it's a class below the GSF.

GtiB, does your mirrors fold when you shut off the car or do you have to press a button inside the car ?

Agreed. I had a RX loaner the other day while waiting for my tint "fixed". I walked out the car to find out that it has folding mirrors. I said to myself, "how come I never paid attention to this on my GS? Or my GS doesn't have this feature, does it?" It's a real bumper to not have this feature on a car that a lot more expensive. I don't care much about the power trunk, but it'd be nice to have folding mirrors. Another thing that bugs me is I don't know where to keep my shades! I put them in the center console which is not a great place for shades.

I guess japans factory has different specifications.
The open/close trunk is an optional thing, but the folding mirrors comes in every model !!

its vinyl and the sensors are functioning with no problems.

They fold once I hit the button to close the doors (via remote or grabbing the end of the handle)
no buttons are needed to be pressed.
although my 2008 is350 doesn't do that automatically, i need to press a button before i shut down the doors and IT IS SO ANNOYING !!!

Beautiful car! Truth be told, my first pick was NG/Cabernet, but the dealer only had an LP/Cabernet on order so that's what I've got. I've never looked back because the LP/Cabernet is also outstanding. Enjoy her!

Thats a nice combo, in my case Cabernet interior was a must ! exterior wise, I was in the middle of Nebula Gray and Starfire Pearl
Then I though, I can always wrap the whole thing with pearl white vinyl ! so i went with the NG just like I did with my IS and ES

Generally you guys get to pay less then the ROW because they package these options for you.
