I wound up installing mine to the right of the mirror and you hardly see it.

Thanks! Was just trying to figure out if that would work. Didn't know what sensor is on the back side of the rear view mirror housing.

I keep mine in the armrest, I don't like having anything on my windshield....

but I wonder if it would still work if installed under the hood somewhere?

I got the one for the plate, and zip tied it behind the lower grill.

The only sensor on that side is for the LKA. If you dont have LKA, you're good to go.

Same here.

It's only a PITA when I'm on the highway. That's pretty rare, for me.

I have mine on the left side of the mirror in the dotted area, only because I travel a lot and have to take it off when parking at the airport because my company pays for the parking. I don't want to have my Toll Tag billed.

I also have garage door openers on both my visors. My mother's opener would never synch with any car I've owned and we've traded cars so often our garage door apparently ran out of rolling codes and we had to buy new door openers. I've tried setting Homelink many times and as soon as we set one car the other stops working, so I've got lots of gadgets hanging all over the car.

No, it wouldn't work under the hood as the metal would prevent the transmission of the "gamma" rays.

The sticker version (FL SunPass) works fine mounted inside the moon roof. If your used to driving with the cover open it's an eye sore though.

Default Velcroed to the rear view mirror

Covered with a black rubberized cover I found on eBay. Just about invisible from both inside and outside of the car. I thought the toll booth readers would have an issue since it wasn't attached directly to the windsheild, but I've had no issues.

I spray painted mine black and stuck it behind the rear view mirror. Can't tell if anything's there at all.

I love this idea. Plastidip will not interfere. My transponder is not visible outside, but I would very much prefer it were darker inside...this would do nicely.

Plastidip spray black over new ezpass transponder. Looks amazing and would look even better in an F Sport. Bonus Street Guardian dashcam wired into the windshield sensor circuit.

Edit to answer questions below:
You can't see it at all from outside.
The plastidip spray applies more like a paint, so it's much more attached, don't see it coming off easily.
