Seat does not go back max for both drivers
When turning the car off, the drivers seat extends back as far as it can go for me. My wife sits closer to the wheel and though it does extend back, it doesn't go all the way back (max) when she exits. In fact, it is closer than my regular set position, so I have to hit the memory button to make the seat extend back enough for me to sit. The manual says there is a setting for the seat to extend to max when exiting. This is the default and mine is set correctly. I confirmed with the Lexus specialist that this is how it will work (ie not work). Somewhat disappointing that extending to max is different for each memory setting. I've worked around by setting L3 to max back and my wife hits that when exiting. Not great, but at least I don't squish myself if I forget to hit my memory button before trying to sit.

I am 6' 3" and my wife is 5' 4" so I know the feeling. You can just program one key fob to your memory setting and the other to hers and that will solve the problem if you don't mind pressing the unlock button on the fob instead of just touching the door.

Here is an alternative perspective: The seat movement feature moves rearward by a fixed amount; e.g. 6 inches. If you have the seat positioned 12 inches from its forward-most travel, and you wife has the seat positioned 4 inches from its forward-most travel, the exit system would add 6 inches for you (18 inches) and 6 inches for your wife (10 inches).
I think this is a reasonable design since your wife would have a difficult time extracting herself if the seat moved back 14 (18 - 4) inches. Also, this additional movement would be more time consuming.

I don't see why the seat moving all the way back would make exiting more difficult. My key fobs are programmed but I've discovered that if my wife enters the passenger side first, the drivers seat goes to her setting and even when I grab the driver door handle it stays there. Whoever enters the car first seems to win...

Lol. It is hers. I have a 2004 RX 330. 58k miles. I just checked again and it seems that it's lost the memory for the key fobs. I forgot how to set it... They did it when they delivered the car. Not sure why it's not working now. Guess I have to stop in to the dealership. Have a few other things they need to program like the turn signal ticking 7x' instead of 2. And I have double entries for all my contacts and the manage contacts delete button is frayed out...
