I'm hoping someone out here is more knowledgeable than my local dealership. I was just informed my new GS is supposed to arrive in the Port of Portland on Sept 17. Shipped via rail to Kansas, then trucked to Iowa. We were hoping it would arrive by the following Wednesday, Sept 26. Anyone know if that timing is feasible? I can't get a straight answer out of the dealership to save my life. Their communiciation through this process has been VERY disappointing...this is my first experience with Lexus. Not impressive.

I've never had to deal with a situation like yours but it sounds like the dealer doesn't have the answer you are looking for. The dealer should be allowed to say "I don't know" rather than manufacture an answer just to make you happy in the moment. I suggest you give Lexus and the dealer a break and wait and be pleasantly surprised when the car shows up. I guess If Lexus used FedEX or UPS they could provide up-to-the-minute tracking information for its customers

I am sure you'll enjoy your new ride when it does come in as it's well worth the wait!!
