Painting under Lexus symbol on front?

I see a lot of 4GS's with the portion under the lexus symbol painted. Just the center part on the front bumper. Some have it painted matte black or carbon fiber. How do you do this? Please give me some info. Thanks.

How well does the vinyl hold up in the elements? I would think it would not last a long time and start to peel.

i had mine wrapped in 3M vinyl and looks great and has 5 year warranty

As others have said, 3M vinyl is a great choice.
