I was driving in a heavy rain today when my Radar Cruise shut off and a message appeared saying "cruise control not available" did this a few times so I checked the owners manual and found that you cannot use Radar Cruise Control wirh the wipers on high speed. I know this will be of little to no interest to most but thought I'd pass it along for folks with PCS.

That's normal. I had it on my Avalon, don't have it on the GS, but in heavy rain it can't measure the distance correctly and it will shut off. On the Avalon, it would show an error code when that happened.
