Default Lexus Vehicle Technology Specialist introduction

I want to take a quick moment to introduce myself (us). We are the Vehicle Technology Specialists at a North Texas Lexus Dealership. I won't give the name of the dealership since we are not here to promote ourselves or try to sell cars; our sole purpose is to assist fellow Lexus owners and enthusiast.
I have many years of Lexus experience, and my two assistants are very resourceful. I have chosen the forums I support based on the cars I have owned. I am currently a fourth gen. GS 350 owner/enthusiast so I will be here most of the time.
We don’t have all the answers, but we have many recourses. We will do our best to only reply with the most accurate and current information available.
I must point out we are NOT Lexus employees but we are Lexus trained. We work for a dealership, and we are contributing to the forum on our own accord.
Thanks, and I look forward to contributing to Club Lexus!

He only said he is in North Texas. Dallas is also located in North Texas (even South Dallas).

Can you review any of the differences between the F and Lux AWD? Specifically in Sport + mode. Are there any AVS and throttle mapping differences? THe AWD does not get the better brakes like the RWD in the F. So. other than the cosmetics, the actual performance both engine and suspension, other than the 19" wheels appear to be equal.
Sewell shows 2 different rear spoiler options which have significant price differences, what's the difference? Also I know the F mesh grill will fit the upper Lux. What about the lower? Have you seen a Lux with the F sport grill, pics please if so.
The thought is a Lux in Meteor blue over Flaxen, with a rear spoiler and F grill

Folks, the OP is "Vehicle technology specialist" at a dealership. Let's be polite and value his/her input on technology questions we may have - not reflections from dashboard trim. I'm sure those threads are being read and considered by Lexus.

OP, a suggestion: Over time, could you start a number of short instructional threads on topics that you get asked about frequently at work? They don't have to be exhaustive tomes on rocket-science topics, but just short summaries on features that customers often have trouble with or don't realize are there. Power-users may already know this stuff, but us old farts often miss learning about some of the neat features. If we can figure out how to get to the grandkids' house while listening to both kinds of music, country & western, we often don't explore much further.

Quick question
Is there a way to see what is playing on XM channels in a list type of view without havon ghetto tune to a station and wait for the title to display? This was something I could do with an external XM player in my other cars.
thanks

Regarding the suspension, here are the differences between the F-Sport AWD and the Luxury AWD:

Stiffer bushings
Thicker anti-roll bars
19" forged wheels

AVS is the same, as is throttle mapping and transmission.

Sport S+ is the same because the AWD doesn't have VGRS. On the RWD F-Sport the steering is sharper than the Luxury when in Sport S+.

As far as the spoilers: (removed)

Regarding the grille; i have not seen a Luxury with the F-Sport grille insets. I am quite sure (but not positive) that the upper will work, but the lower is a slightly different shape.

Hope this helps.

Thanks caddyowner!
I think that's a great suggestion.
As I come across things here that I think you all could benefit from I'll post them. If I get carried away just let me know I I'll tone it down.

I'm sorry, but I must not fully understand the question. No matter what SAT screen I am in (page with presets or "text" view) I can see the Artist and Track information. Maybe it's the particular station you are listening too? I honestly don't listen to SAT so my personal experience is somewhat limited.

Agreed..

We should move ALL Aluminum Trim related posts to the dedicated thread I linked in Post# 11

Radio question: How can I move up/down to the next AM/FM/Sat station (not preset) without turning the silver tuning dial on the right side of the dash? It's almost impossible to move only one click using that physical dial.
