Pandora App And Bluetooth Audio Problems
I was wondering if anyone else has had repeated problems with the Pandora app on their GS. I have basically given up using it. I have heard that some people think it may be an Iphone app problem. I work at a dealer and the car is my wife's daily driver, so I rarely drive it. I did take it in one day for this issue and, of course, it worked fine. Also I noticed that if you switch to apps and then back to bluetooth audio, I have to hit play on the phone's screen. I talked to our tech specialist and our DS. They both have no answers as to if this is normal. Has anyone else encountered these issues?

I've found by trial and error that when you have trouble connecting to the Enform apps from the car, I just go to the actual Lexus Enform app on my iPhone and open it up when the Car is trying to sync h the phone and surprisingly it works everytime. Give it a try and let me know if it works for you. ~Tu

No issues here with my Motorola Droid Razr 4G phone. What phone do you have? If its the Iphone then some people are having issues. So far its working amazing for me. I am enjoying Pandora though 2x it didn't play music while on in the past 6 weeks.
So this is what I do: I disconnect enform app on my cell phone and reconnect by going to options. Then I restart car and it works. But this is very rare and Lexus will be rolling out a quick update soon according to my Lexus tech guy.
As a young guy, I am really enjoying these apps and so are others who are riding in my car.

I've found by trial and error that when you have trouble connecting to the Enform apps from the car, I just go to the actual Lexus Enform app on my iPhone and open it up when the Car is trying to sync h the phone and surprisingly it works everytime. i am having a difficult time with the blue tooth audio and it is driving me crazy. i have only had the car 2 weeks, so i havent had much opportunity to read the book or really play with it to determine if i am doing something wrong or if this is an issue with the car (i have an iPhone btw, so i am not sure if that is part of the problem)

I have had intermittent problems with all the Enform apps that I attributed to not necessarily having a good data connection on my phone at the time I tried. I also can not get the bluetooth text messaging features to work with my phone properly, and I regularly have issues with a USB connected thumb drive containing music files. All of these things (except for the text messaging) I can usually get to work by retrying, or following various incantations. I think it's also true a lot of things depend on the phone or device you're using, so everyone gets slightly different results. I can understand someone with less patience who just expects things to work seamlessly and automatically would be very frustrated.
Personally, I'm encouraged that the capability is there and I can at least get it to work sometimes. When it works, it's very impressive. But then, I also like playing with buggy leading edge software. To me, much of these advanced capabilities seem like beta software. I have high hopes for it when Lexus hopefully refines it.
For what it's worth, when I was googling for solutions to the problems with some of these advanced features, it looks to me like a lot of cars with these kinds of features have the exact same kinds of problems, not just Lexus.

Mine used to be intermittent now it doesn't even connect at all Ipod connection used to work fine as well but is currently not connecting through usb connection anymore. Going to probably stop by the dealer sometime this week to ask them some questions about these issues.

Blamed it on my phone
Same issue. Salesman blamed it on my phone. Service tech said Lexus siad iPhone works OK, but Android app is pos, and will updat in May. Hey, what do you want? The car's only $60k!

I hear your about the cost. It is frustrating for me and I do expect it to work "seamlessly and automatically" if I use it the way it is designed. Call me crazy. About the Android app, our FTS has an Android and he says it works most of the time. I don't think its as much as a phone problem as it is a connection issue between the apps on the phone and the car. That is just my opinion, I really don't have anything to base it off except that the other functions of the phone seem to work ok.
