F-Sport Wheels

I bought a set of F-Sport wheels, tires, and TPM sensors to put on my GS luxury I have ordered. Will I need to have the speedometer recalibrated or will the lower profile 19s be the same as the 18s that come on it.

No recalibration needed. The overall diameter of the tire and the rim will be the same with the rim being larger and the tire being thinner to compensate. You are all set. Enjoy!

As long as you go with the OEM size 19" tires.

Just asking.Which wheels did you buy? The official 19' forged F-Sport accessory wheel?

rlj4246 04-24-12 06:43 PM

They are the wheels that come standard on the F-sport. New car take-offs. I Like the other wheels but I got these for $2,000 including shipping. Seem like a fair deal to me.

Did you get them from Magnessen's Lexus in Fremont, XA?

dseag2 04-24-12 08:24 PM

Sounds like a fair deal. I originally got quoted on a GS Luxury with F Sport wheels that had been removed from another car (dealer had 2 sets that had been replaced with chrome) and was quoted $4000. That's one of the reasons I just went with the F Sport.

@rlj4246

So you're getting these?

If so, then you made an excellent choice :)

Yes I got them Magnessen's. They started out asking $2500 and 100 shiping. Finally they came down to $2,000 plus shipping. I offered 2k shipped and they took it. I'm not fond of the wheels that come on the Lux. Pkg.. And I think the F-Sport wheels do wonders for the car.

Blackraven thanks for posting the pics. Miy ordered car is black so I can see what they look like on the car. And yes, those are the ones.

I made the same offer for your wheels set 2K shipped but they came back $2200 shipped. Then I found out those are staggered wheels then I back out because mine are AWD. So now I'm looking for the set that came off an AWD F-Sport.

2K for the set with TPMS are smoking deal. If I have to order new set from Sewell I would go with fog 19" F-Sport.

Any more mod for your Lux? Spoiler? F-Sport Pedal?

Congrat.

As you are probably aware they were on eBay for a few weeks and they kept lowering the price till they got to 2k plus $100 shipping. Made the offer and in about an hour they sent me a invoice. I think they just wanted to move them. My car is ordered so I can't mod it yet. Just picking up a few things til it arrives. I would like to get the spoiler but $900 seems a little steep to me

what tires are you going to put on? the OEM all season Bridgestone's are very poorly rated. Some are suggesting upping the size to 245/40/19 and going with Michelin Primacy.
I would be curious what your installer says.

rlj4246 04-25-12 04:38 AM

These wheels come with Dunlops already mounted so I'm going to wear them out then I'll switch to Michelins. Never had Dunlops. I have run Michelins for years and had good luck with them. Think I'll stick to the stock size tires at least til I wear these out

jtrue28 04-25-12 07:54 AM

You won't be able to get a good A/S tire in the 235/40/19 size. The Bridgestones that come from the factory are reportedly awful. However, if you go to 245/40/19, then the optons for an A/S tire goes up greatly.
