If I wanted to use the paddles that should be my option, but if the car is in sport mode and will not up shift naturally when gauging the MPH / RPM on its own then in my books that is a flaw. Can anyone tell me the benefit of this so I may try to understand Lexus's rational?
When you accelerate hard like that the car will want to keep the rpms high in anticipation of another burst of acceleration. It could take a good 30-40 seconds before it lets go. My 3GS and 4LS do the same thing. Should be ok

Default Throttle Blip

Does the shift control really have to be in the manual position for the throttle blip feature to work? I've read this several times but Honestly can't tell any difference when downshifting with the paddles in automatic mode or manual mode. Can someone please explain? Thanks

ine doesn’t do this is that normal I’m in sport+ and going fast and then go to normal it holds about 4000 rpms sometimes 5 for awhile about 5-15 seconds and then drops on its own
