tried that. it doesn't work on the 4GS. my ES had that feature but the 4GS does not. dealer couldn't tell me why it's not applicable to the 4GS.

I have already gone to the dealership and customized the key fob to roll all the windows down and the sunroof to open when holding down the open door button. I don't know why Lexus doesn't make that option to the owners to do themselves. I live in TX and love this option on hot days to cool down the vehicle. Too bad they don't have the same option to roll up the windows and close the sunroof by holding down the lock button on the key fob.

Window and sunroof close has been disabled for the US market...probably for some safety reasons. The windows and sunroof have resistance detection so it doesn't make sense to not allow it.

They don't even trust us with the remote windows and sunroof open by default. You have to ask the dealer enable it for you and I was told it's a one time free offer.

The button needs to be pressed for a few seconds continuously (while in range of the car) for this to work, so the likelihood of this happening by accident is low.
I live in TX (Dallas) too and this has happened to me once. I live at a complex where you have to parallel park. One morning I took a different car to work and while I was driving away, I noticed that my windows were down and sunroof opened. I was a surprised especially since I will be gone for a good 9-10 hours, and it all happened because the unlock button was pushed up against something in my pocket.

Whaaat the ****? I programmed this feature on my 13GS
with the carista app. But not the "roll up" feature! I have to close my windows with the key blade in the door lock....is closing the windows with the fob not an option on the 13s?

no, the key is the only option.

no you need the subscription. the free version only allows resetting of the smog sensors and code checking. feature programming requires the subscription.
