I thought Lexus was going to put Dunlop SP Sport 050s on the 4GSs?

I saw some with the highly rated Michelin Primacy MXM4 tires. They are new and have a 50k miles warranty and on tirerack they have been reviewed to be #1 in test by experts and consumers. I wish I could pinpoint which ones come with these tires on the 18 inch wheels. It seems to me that the Luxury versions have these tires while the premium 18 inch comes with the Dunlops. I find Dunlops to last short and have a firmer ride, more noise, poor snow traction, vibrations after 15k miles, etc.

My Premium came with Turanza ER33s. I've opened a case with Lexus USA as my understanding were that Premiums came with Dunlops...

Bridgestone and Dunlop are the available OE tire options for the Lexus line, Premium, F Sport and Luxury.

I thought they were going to be exclusively Dunlop SP Sport Maxx 050s...

https://www.clublexus.com/forums/gs-...lop-tires.html

Dunlop SP Sport Max 050s = Max Performance Summer
Bridgestone Turanza ER33 = Grand Touring Summer

...slight difference?

I saw the Premium package at the local dealership with Dunlops...

"The GS 350 will feature the Dunlop SP Sport Maxx 050 tires in several sizes, including P225/50R17 and P235/45R18."

Thats probably just a supply issue where these specific GS Spec Dunlops have either 1) not made it in the factory yet or 2) the first batch of cars that have come through have a mix of Bridgestone and Dunlop.

If your car already came with the Bridgestones, its probably unlikely Lexus will change them just because you prefer something else. It's happened every time a new model Lexus comes out.

I got the Turanzas...and because I need AS, that is 1 of 2 options for me in the 235/40/19 size. The only other option is some awful Continental tire. Would prefer high performance AS, but whatever.

Like mentioned previously, each model will come with a mix of Dunlop, Bridgestone, Michelin All Season or Summer for the Premium/Luxury 18" and F Sport 19". Each region orders specific cars with specific spec tires whether it be All-Season or Summer spec.

Here's an F Sport with Bridgestone RE050A: (These tires suck imo, even the ones for IS F)

GS 350 F Sport with Dunlop SP Sport Maxx 050:

GS 350 Premium w/Bridgestone Turanza ER 33:

GS 350 Luxury w/Michelin Primacy MXM4:

GS 350 Luxury w/Dunlop SP Sport Maxx 050:

The last GS 350 Luxury I saw had Dunlop SP Sport 5100 which I will upload pics of this week.
