Default 4GS autostart key fob

has anyone bought this option and are there any regrets?
What was the cost?

I would love something like this in the winter to get the car nice and warm

I hope it means Canada... we get -40 Celsius in the winter here, then he might need it.

The Lexus remote start accessory is a worthy option even if you're in California. I know Lexus hasn't priced it but it's historically been about $375-500MSRP depending on the model. This can be added by the dealer.

yes I'm in california =)
it gets nippy but it's just really the cool factor.
however, $400-500? no thanks. I hate that you have to depress the pedal in order to start the car though.

The brake pedal you mean? You have to do that with any new modern Lexus since 2005 with push button start. The first Lexus with push button start was the 2006 Lexus IS.

i never understand why the FOBs are so big. Would be nice if they made it part of your android phone app using a password or stroke.

Is this remote starter easy to install by yourself, DIY? That would save $700 in labor.

REMOTE ENGINE STARTER RANGE
The Remote Engine Starter can be effectively operated up to 80 feet in an open space. The physical
makeup of the surrounding environment (hills, trees, buildings, etc.) may affect the Remote Engine
Starter’s maximum range.
