285's on the Back WILL RUB
Go down towards the bottom of this thread and you can see that Mike@Vossen recommended 285 in the rear. I've just been going by those recommended specs for the 4GS when looking at different wheel and tire setups. I don't think I would feel comfortable knowing that my wheel is sticking out that much from my tires like in the pics you posted but I guess it is all about preferance.

Leo from Vossen said that the wheel will stick out approx 1/8 inches with the 275's but that's the trade off and it is the only way to go unless you want to roll the fenders.
Would like to get Mike@Vossen's comments on this. I think it is important info for owners to know so we can all be clear on the correct information and application, or possible trade offs.

Its official: 285's will rub on the 4gs
Well, I finally got to the bottom of the 275 vs 285 clearance issue. I Questioned Mike@Vossen on his posts that the 285's do not rub. I Asked Mike in another thread to call Leo at Vossen in Miami who told me directly that they do indeed rub. Turns out Mike made a mistake. THE 285'S DO INDEED RUB ON THE 4TH GENERATION GS350'S, SO DO NOT DO 285'S ON THE 4GS!
Called Leo again today and asked again about the rim protrusion and he says the 10.5" DO INDEED PROTRUDE WHEN RUNNING A 275 TIRE. No way around it. He did say however that they will be coming out with a 10 Inch at the end of this month. This will solve the rim protrusion issue.
Unfortunately for those like me who have already bought the 10.5's we are stuck with them and the rim problem as well as Vossen wont swap them.
Hope this has helped make it crystal clear to those out there who had questions about this controversial set up issue. Wait for the 10 inch Vossen wheels for the back of the 4GS or accept the rim protrusion.
(P.S. One last pic of the finished set up...IMO Vossen CV3 is still the best looking wheel for this car! )

I did say I would post more pics...
She just didn't look right at some (okay, more than some) angles with the car sitting so high off the wheels. This is not Photoshopped ladies & gentlemen. She is dropped on Tanabe NF210's thanks to Tanabe. Big Ups to Tanabe for this one: I am loving the new stance. Thought I would share.

Hey! It does look great!! Please tell us honestly how it has affected the overall ride? Is it a harder ride now? Do you feel a big difference? This is the one question we all have! I feel we all would love to drop our rides, but we do not want to compromise the ride comfort too much. Hope you can give us your honest and detailed experience!

These are not for purchase yet. This was the R&D car for Tanabe. The springs will be available soon. Stay tuned to their website for more information.

Vossen wheel vibration???
I am wondering if anyone who has put Vossen wheels on their 4GS has experienced any wheel vibration around 120KM (60-65). I have put the CV3's on my car and have done EVERYTHING to try to stop this annoying vibration. I have balanced them 4 times in two different shops, twice with Road Force, changed the lug nuts twice, changed three sets of Hub Centric Rings, even changed the back Michelin Pilot Super Sports tires to another new set that the tire company sent me. Nothing seems to take this vibration away.
The process of trial and error is pointing to the wheels themselves.
Has Anyone experienced this?
