Pricing........!??
Anybody have any idea about pricing.........The 2011 GS450h starts around $58K. That is quite a premium Over non Hybrid. No use doing it to get the payback on fuel economy.
We do have an RSX450H an get about 30MPG so the biggest Benefit I see is not filling up so much in the cold winters!
Since I am goint to need a good set of snow tires.....anyone know where to find OEM rims for the GS's?
Thanks for all the help!

Not sure what it means or what it's saying but it's a start.

^So the new GS350 F-Sport starts from 6,800,000 yens in Japan, before adding 1,289,400 yens worth of options and 355,950 yens worth of accessories.
The current GS350 starts from 5,520,000 yens in Japan and US$46,900 in the USA, so the new GS350 F-Sport may cost US$46,900 x 6,800,000 / 5,520,000 =~ US$57,775. But then the US-spec GS350 F-Sport doesn't have fogs and LED headlights so it should be a bit cheaper than that. Still very expensive though.

That doesn't compute. 8.9M YEN = $115K USD....that cannot be right.

I still expect for base GS to be affordable and price difference between base GS350 and GS450h to be quite big as Lexus said only 10% will be hybrids.

Pricing for New GS should be published very soon. Japan pricing and US pricing is different. Dollar to Yen and the way things are built and priced for Lexus Japan are different for Lexus USA. Car is not available until February 2012 anyway. Patience is a virtue.

You know, they say compare the GS450h to V8 competitors and that it has V8 power, but the acceleration is identical to the V6 model and underpowered when compared to the other V8 sedans in this segment. A 10k price premium doesn't seem justified

Also take note about the Japan-spec models.
First off, you CANNOT get any Lexus in Japan without navigation so it's a standard feature (and I think the G-Link service is already included in it).
Plus, if you check all the pics of the Lexus GS in Japan, you will notice that none of them come with HIDs.
From the Lexus Manila facebook page:

It looks like ALL 4GS sold locally in Japan will have LED headlamps as standard equipment.
even the basic GS250 has them
Unlike overseas versions where only hybrid models get LED headlamps as standard.
So yeah, you have to take that into account as well......

except acceleration is not equal to V6, but considerably faster.
