Default 2018 gs350

2013 GS350 was totaled by a drunk driver a month ago. Man, I loved that car. Replaced with a 2018 GS350, white with flaxen interior. Pretty much the exact same color scheme. Both AWD, got the 19” wheels and tires, really like the look of them. Didn’t go with ML, enjoy the stock system enough. Got the All-Weather liners for the floorboards, myself and kids track a lot of dirt everywhere with our outdoor activities.

This forum is fantastic, so glad I found it.

That sucks about your '13. Glad to see you ended up staying Lexus. That gives me hope with mine. I've been seeing more and more older Lexus vehicles on the road. That really says something about this brand. Any difference in the ride between the '13 and your '18?

Honestly, I won't buy any other brand for my wife and me. Traded my wife's 2014 QX56 in on a 2017 GX460 a year ago as well, and we normally drive our cars for at least 8-10 years. Beyond the quality of the brand, our local dealership is outstanding, from the purchase process through the service process. We even take my daughter's 2014 RAV4 (she has to buy her own) there for service. Our experience with the Infiniti dealership was terrible after the purchase.

This is my third GS (first was a 2002 I traded in for 2013 in Dec 2012). I really like the GS model.

As for differences, the 2018 isn't near broken in yet (<500 miles) so take that caveat. Neither of them are/were F-Sport, just standard GS350 AWD with the luxury package. The 2018 sits higher, and the ride to me is much softer...again, not fully broken in yet. The car itself to me seems more luxurious.

The technology in the 2018 is significantly advanced compared to the 2013, which is expected. Dynamic radar cruise, lane keep assist, the whole Enform package seems so much better, as well as the Bluetooth connection and its interaction with my phone.

I don't think the 2018 is as fast as the 2013, but that may be due to the fact I am still in "new car" mode, and granny driving everywhere (no offense to grandmothers). Stay tuned.

All in all, yes, I am very happy with the brand, and this most recent purchase did not disappoint at all. I hope my comments have answered your questions.

Congrats on the 18 GS.

Please post I the prices paid thread. That helps prospective buyers gauge the market.

Thanks

1. GS 350
2. Metro Blue Metallic / cream
3. Nav, No ML
4. AWD
5. No DRS
6. Planned mods - maybe mud flaps and a rear spoiler
7. Looked long and hard at G37x/Q50, G37x, IS250AWD & IS350AWD, even Mini Countryman All4 and Subarus WRX, drove all of them before getting the GS350 AWD

Hi, I go by knucklebusted on every forum I am a member of so there is continuity if you are on any of those other forums (scubaboard, V8Buick, etc) in the future. I've owned a GS since the first week I got my drivers license back in 1978. However, that GS was a 1971 Buick GS.

Today I have three GS cars, the recently acquired Lexus, (my first Lexus) and two Buick GS cars, one a well modified 1970 Stage 1 with an aluminum headed 455 that I have owned for 38 years and the other a mostly stock 1971 GS 350 4 speed car I bought in 2014.

I have a lot of experience modding my Buicks and a few other cars/trucks in my years. I'm a life long gearhead, taken home from the hospital in a Buick, played in my dad's Buick dealership shop from the time I was 5 until the day it closed in the early 80s.

So far (3 days in) I like the GS350 and we drove it 250 miles the day after I got it. Already replaced the woefully clogged cabin air filter and the engine air filter for good measure. I'm going to check out the brakes and a few other things as time permits to get a handle on the actual status of the car.

Looking to learn and contribute where I can.

1. GS350 technology plus package (canadian car )
2. liquid platinum on the outside, flaxxen on the inside
3. navigation and mark levinson
4. AWD
5. no DRS
6. Looking for some dark aftermarket rims, rear window tint and maybe wrap the roof black, maybe add an fsport spoiler on the back, just wanna make it a little more aggressive.
7. honestly i was comparing to the acura TL, the infiniti g37, the bmw 535 and the audi A6. i left the germans out cause i wanted something more reliable, had trouble picking between the g37 and this, the infiniti cant be beat for the money but it didnt have the comfort and luxury of the GS. this car is miles ahead of my 2002 acura RL that some idiot hit and run while i was at work and im really happy i went with this one haha its soooo nice. i really love the ultrasonic blue from 2016 but that car would have been twice as much as this one and i couldnt justify it to myself. someday....

Hello long missed Lexus folks. I haven't been on the forum for a while since we traded in our LS for a new Acura TLX a few years ago. Since then it has been a a let down.

We traded my wife's TLX in this past weekend for a 2015 GS350 FSport. And she LOVES it. As do i.

We got a CPO 2015 GS350, Premium Pkg, White with/Black Int. 25000 Miles.

This is our 4th Lexus and I imagine it won't be the last.

6. Keeping this one near stock, may go for an OEM+ look, thinking about wrapping chrome trim in either gloss black or black chrome

Default Intro

Hey all!

Just decided to register after lurking on this forum after purchasing my GS in September '17. Details are below:

1. 2014 GS350 AWD
2. Silver / Black
3. Nav / No ML
4. AWD
5. No DRS (being an F1 nut, this means many things to me )
6. Bought as a CPL, and it already had tint all around; wheels and tires planned in the spring
7. Really wanted to go with the Lexus brand and didn't look around very much. Found a good deal on the '14 GS.

Looking forward to being a part of this community!

Default My first Lexus

1. 2014 GS FSport
2. White over Black
3. Nav / no ML
4. RWD
5. It's a CPO and had tinted windows; 40k miles
6. Replaced a 2012 Genesis
7. Other cars considered: 2016 Genesis G80; IS350

Bought my first Lexus because I know they hold up well. My Genesis was a great car but depreciated like crazy. The Lexus CPO deal with unlimited mileage warranty (which I extended an extra year to give me about 4 years left) is a great deal for me as a high mileage driver.

1. GS (F-sport)
2. Atomic Silver/Rioja
3. Nav / Mark Levinson
4. RWD
6. Planned mods in the works
7. Going through a breakup. Traded 2016 GX460 & 2016 ES 350.
So i traded my 2 in for a 2016 GS. Im a few weeks into the car and having some problems. Im getting this awful clicking sound when i brake at times and getting in and out of car i hear same clicking noise. Im moving to California this week so Im having to reschedule my tow to deal with this matter. It has 600 miles i already took it to the service department who offered to swap to a 1 piece rotor which may not solve the problem. Going to deal with a manager/supervisor tomorrow. Love the car have really enjoyed it but a problem this early is quite bothersome.
